Galen College relocating satellite campus - Business First of Louisville:

The move will bring the campuzs within a mileof Galen’s main administrativew offices on Zorn Avenue and will give studentx better access to parking, according to Joe the college’s executive vice president and CFO. Galen’s new 13,300-square-foot facility at 2704 River Green Circles will housefive classrooms, a clinicap learning laboratory, a student loungr and administrative office space. The college plans to be in the new locationjby Aug. 1, Peters said. The facility will be built out durinf the nextfew months, and a 220-space parkingb lot will be constructed for students behinfd the building.
Peters said Galen has leased about 14,00p0 square feet in the Chestnut Centre Plaza at612 S. Fourtn St. since 1994. Its lease will expire this summer. Gale n leases about 35,000 square feet, according to in the four-story Galej Center at 1031 Zorn near River Road andInterstate 71. The colleg has been in that locationsince 2005. Over the years, it has becomw “difficult to operate two campusez thatfar apart,” Peters The college considered consolidatinb its local operations at the Zorn Avenue site but didn’t have enough parking there, he added. Parking also has been a problenm forstudents downtown, Peters said.
