That field, called the Jubilee oilfield, was the world’e biggest oil find in and one of the largest oil discoverie s off the West African shordthis decade. Dallas-based Kosmos signed the deal with a consortiumk of financing partnersincluding , BNP Paribaz SA, , International Finance Absa Bank Ltd., Africa Financd Corp., Calyon and Cordiant Emerging Loan Fund III LP. Standardr Chartered is the global coordinator forthe funding, whichj is made up of a $550 million seniod facility, $100 million junior debt and $100 millionj from the International Finance Corp., a membert of the World Bank The deal is secured by shares in Kosmos’ subsidary, Kosmose Energy Ghana.
“We believe the fact that we put in places a debt facility of this magnitudes forour world-class project in the current credit environment is a significant achievement,” said W.
