Current images capture the constructionof ’sz new customer service and technical support centedr as well as the first building of the ’e West campus. The allows users to see a new image of construction every 11 to 12 minuteds anda time-lapse movie of the process. Viewere can zoom in, download and e-mail image s and see the progress of both projects The H-P facility is scheduled to be completef by late 2009. The UNM West campus is schedulec to start offering classes by springsemeste 2010. As future development takes place, the cameraa will be repositioned to chronicle the progresxs ofthose projects.
Images from the cameras also will be used as contenfon RioVision, the city’s public, educatio and government cable channels (Channels 15 and 22 for subscribers). City Councilor s Mike Williams and Kathyy Colley contributed funding from their discretionary accounts for the purchase and installatio ofthe cameras. The Web cam images are made possiblweby . , the city’s contractee service provider for RioVision, will servic the cameras.
